PharmD + MHA Double Degree Candidates

California Northstate University College of Pharmacy students with a minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.5 are eligible to apply for the Doctor of Pharmacy/Masters of Healthcare Administration (PharmD/MHA) double-degree pathway program, which runs concurrently.

While the MHA degree alone takes approximately 21 months to complete, current pharmacy students may opt to complete the PharmD/MHA double degree program requirements (totaling 17-months) within the four-year time frame of the PharmD program. All MHA courses are scheduled over the weekends. Each regular MHA course is scheduled in a 5-week block with classes scheduled on Saturdays from 9:00am to 6:00pm. The 2nd and 4th weekends are typically arranged to be mainly asynchronously online.

This double-degree can increase your chances of receiving clinical residencies and prepare you for leadership positions in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. It will also qualify you to apply to become a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) in the future as a relevant master’s degree such as the MHA is required.
